Advanced Implant Technology

The dental implant, as we know it today, was first used in the 1960s. Since then, advancements in the field have brought about numerous forms of technology designed to facilitate a more successful placement and a smoother recovery process. At our practice, we take advantage of these advancements in order to ensure a better experience for our patients; from start to finish, our modern implant procedures are precise, straightforward, and reliable.

Below, you will find a list of the implant technology we use at our practice. Call our office today if you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment.

Guided Implant Technology

Guided implant technology is a form of computer-assisted surgery that helps the dentist to more accurately place the implant in the jawbone. By using special software, we can take a 3D scan of your mouth and jawbone, which allows us to create a virtual model of the area. This model is then used to plan the placement of the implant so that we can be sure it will be placed in the ideal location for optimal results.

Digital Smile Design

Digital Smile Design (DSD) is a treatment planning system that allows us to show you what your new smile will look like before any treatment is even started. DSD uses advanced computer software to create a realistic, 3D model of your mouth and teeth. This model can be used to plan your implant placement and design your new smile. You will be able to see what your new smile will look like before you even start treatment!

CBCT Scanning

CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) scanning is a type of x-ray that produces a 3D image of the mouth and jaw. This technology helps us to more accurately plan implant placement, as well as diagnose any potential problems that could affect treatment. CBCT scanning is a quick imaging process that provides valuable information that helps us to ensure a successful outcome for your implant treatment.
